and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly
‘beautiful’ or a large amount of art is in a single place. The term can also be used to describe a
similar reaction to a surfeit of choice in other circumstances, e.g. when confronted with
immense beauty in the natural world.

It is named after the famous 19th century French author Stendhal who described his experience
with the phenomenon during his 1817 visit to Florence, Italy in his book Naples and Florence:
A Journey from Milan to Reggio."

august 15th in ottawa at strathcona park , its a benefit for schyzophrenia i do every year with the lovely madison conlin [link] i'm not exactly sure this is the right date of the thing but i will update this if i got it wrong.
next is a groupshow in ottawa at Canteen , 238 dalhousie , oct 2nd ,with an intimidating lineup, good golly. thanks to juan carlos noria for getting me in there [link] much love.
after that
theres a show in LA at ddr projects and toronto somewhere with them.ca and another in ottawa(hopefully) again, for which i dont have details for as of yet, going to try and get one in mtl too for the hell of it.

i'm told a poster i did is going to be in 'the mirror' and 'voir' on thursday .
thems the free newspapers kids.
i think its either in the toronto or montreal one , or both ...
anyways thats all this week, more posters to come and a new series of paintings too ,
i usually stay the hell away from series , its not always necessarily a conscious effort to do so , anyhow, i'm trying something new out and its taking bloody forever to get right.
put some paste-ups around mtl, but i think theyre probably down by now, weird night of car alarms and pizza slices.didnt even get a picture of it . dang.

i hitched a ride to ottawa , big, big, capital city last week with 2$ in my pocket and have decided to stay a while.
somehow everything worked out, and i even managed to come up with rent money . so there you have it kids. take chances , within reason of course.
gig coming up next month ; Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 10:00pm @ mercury lounge in ottawa ontario, its a groupshow , should be neato.

good god, i havent had the chance to sit at a computer and read the news in quite a while. i've had to go to this dirty world of warcraft dungeon down the street to use their internet , and sit next to weird folk watching porn at 2pm.i never stay any longer than i need to, though i have to say that in a strange way the place is starting to grow on me. i'm a sucker for weird dives. and i do need to get out more.

working on a pile of new stuff, but i'm putting off uploading for a while, it'll make more sense as a whole.i'm actually feeling pretty excited about this new stuff, i had a big huzzah/eureka last night at 5am

great start to another weird week. i've got a week to paint for two shows, the bulk of my work is in toronto and ottawa Ont. oh well i needed some new stuff anyhow. i'll have to pull a tricky maneuver for both shows to work, but i'm used to this kind of thing by now.no time to write , need to get to work.
